MIKULÁŠ STARÝ – CZECH REPUBLIC

Graduated from the glass design class in the Secondary School of Visual Arts, Valašské Meziříčí, Czech Republic, 2013. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in glass design at the Tomas Baťa University in Zlin, Czech Republic, 2017. He is currently studying for a master’s degree at the Tomas Baťa University in Zlin, Czech Republic.

He started exhibiting mainly in youth competitions. Junior Design Fest, Bratislava, 2012; Sanssouci Junior Glass Match, Karlovy Vary, 2013. He actively participated in exhibitions in his home town. „Jiný pohled“, Sýpka Gallery, Valašské Meziříčí, 2015; „VALAŠSKÝ SALON“, Valašské Meziříčí, 2016. Then came exhibitions as part of studying at the Tomas Baťa University in Zlin. „Vernisáž“, Photogether Gallery, Zlín, Czech Republic, 2017; „VýstUP“, Sýpka Gallery, Valašské Meziříčí, 2017; bachelor thesis exhibition, Zlín, 2017. He continued his studies at the University with exhibitions: exhibition within the competition Junior Glass Ways, Sázava, Czech Republic, 2017; „Pokoje“, Prague, 2018; „Světlo Valmez“, light festival, Valašské Meziříčí, Czech Republic, 2018; „Cesty hmoty a prostoru“, Sýpka Gallery, Valašské Meziříčí, 2019. At the moment, he is the most involved in site-specific installations  working with both artificial and natural light. Is exploring relationships and seeks poetry in basic geometric shapes. For some exhibitions he did artistic performances. Now he is looking for opportunities to exhibit abroad.
